Polishing teeth

Tooth extraction is sometimes the only solution when a tooth is badly damaged, inflamed or no longer has a chance of being saved.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, is quick and in most cases painless.

The aim is to prevent the spread of infection, relieve pain and preserve the health of the remaining teeth and gums.

After the extraction, the tooth can be replaced with an implant, a bridge or a denture, depending on the situation.

Myths and truths

The truth: Most pluckings heal without problems. Complications are rare and can be prevented with precise post-procedure instructions and proper hygiene.

The truth: If a gap remains, over time, adjacent teeth may move, the bite may change, and problems with chewing or the jaw joint may occur.
