Teeth fight against acids, sugars and wear every day. Once enamel weakens, the road to tooth decay is fast - and often silent. That's why we recommend a procedure that's quick, painless and highly effective: professional tooth fluoridation.
Applying concentrated fluoride directly to the teeth increases their resistance to acids, reduces the sensitivity of the tooth necks and prevents tooth decay - in children and adults.
When does fluoridation make the most sense?
After cleaning the tartar, when the tooth surface is clean and has absorbed most of the
In children during the growth of permanent teeth
In adults with initial enamel damage
If you have sensitive tooth necks or the beginnings of tooth decay
Disabled, elderly, seriously ill - where oral hygiene is limited
For pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, as fluoride helps to mineralise the baby's teeth better
For patients with orthodontic appliances and frequent plaque
After teeth whitening, as an additional protective measure
How does the process work?
First, clean your teeth.
A special gel or varnish with a high fluoride content is then applied.
The gel works for a few minutes, without pain or discomfort.
After application, you are advised not to eat or drink for 45 minutes.
It is recommended twice a year, or more often depending on the condition of your teeth and gums.
After fluoridation
can:
- after 45 minutes you are eating and drinking normally
- brush your teeth normally in the evening (unless varnish has been used)
- resume normal oral hygiene the next day
- use fluoride toothpaste as usual
- enjoy worry-free - teeth are extra protected
you must not:
- eat, drink or rinse your mouth for the first 45 minutes
- immediate brushing of teeth after the procedure
- consuming highly acidic or sugary drinks immediately after the procedure
- with fluoride varnish, we advise against brushing in the evening that day
Fluoridation is one of the best choices if you want to protect your teeth without surgery and without pain.
It is especially recommended for those at higher risk of cavities, sensitivity or poor oral hygiene.
